Kolač (also kolache, kolace, kolacky) is a sweet Czech and Slovak pastry, made with yeasted dough and a filling, usually of quark, fruit jam or poppy seeds sweetened with powidl. Note that it is not the same as the Central and Eastern European festival bread, kolach.
