Senbei are bite-sized Japanese rice crackers, available in a variety of shapes, flavors, and sizes, intended as light appetizers to accompany green tea. They are often sold in mixed assortments that include salt, shoyu, miso, mirin, nori, and wasabi-flavored varieties.
Contrast with arare, which are smaller and come in more varied shapes.
