A karahi, kadhai, or cheena chatti (Kerala) is a heavy round-bottomed cooking vessel with two handles, somewhat similar to a wok but suitable for use on a flat heating surface. It is used for sautéing, stewing, and deep-frying. See kadhai cooking.
Not to be confused with kadhi, the dish of pakora in a gram flour gravy.
