Gulab jamun is an Indian sweet made by heating milk over low heat until the liquid portion has reduced away, mixing the milk solids with flour to make a batter, and frying balls of the batter in oil or ghee until they are golden brown. They are then served in a scented sugar syrup, with ice cream, or with kulfi.
