Wiener schnitzel, or Wienerschnitzel, is a thin, breaded veal (or occasionally pork) cutlet. It is one of the best known of the schnitzel dishes.
The name "Wiener schnitzel" means "Vienna schnitzel", and Wienerschnitzel is strongly associated with the culinary traditions of Vienna.
