Tortello alla lastra

Tortello alla lastra (plural tortelli alla lastra) is an Italian stuffed flatbread, made with piadina-style dough that is rolled flat and stuffed with fillings such as mashed potato and pumpkin, seasoned with onion, Pecorino Romano, and pancetta, or cooked greens with ricotta and grated hard cheese. The bread is folded over and cooked on a hard stone, which browns the bread and melts the contents.
