Minilla is a Mexican fish hash from the Veracruz region. It is made with firm fish (canned tuna is sometimes used) that is simmered in broth and then flaked and mixed with diced onion, garlic, tomato, jalapeƱo, olives, capers, and citrus juice or vinegar. It can be served alone or in salads, or used as a filling for empanadas, tacos, chile rellenos or tortas.
