Gentian liqueur, also genziana, is a liqueur made with the roots of the gentian plant. It is a typical beverage of Italy and France.
Gentian liqueurs are usually bittersweet and have strongly herbal flavors, typically including notes of citrus, anise, tarragon, and dandelion, as well as earth and root.
