Farina is milled wheat middlings, made with the germ and endosperm of wheat grain. It is used to prepare a hot porridge, usually for breakfast. It can also be mixed with milk and sugar to make creams for layered cakes, or as a substitute for bread crumbs in sweet and meat pies.
