Dandelion greens are the leaves of numerous plants in the family Asteraceae, usually Taraxacum officinale, collectively called "dandelions", which grow wild on every continent but Antarctica. Dandelion greens tend to be bitter, so they are either picked young, blanched, or served with strongly flavored dressings.
Dandelion is also contained by dandelion jelly, dandelion wine and the British soft drink called dandelion and burdock.
