Chai spice

Chai spice is a term used mostly in English to refer to the spice blend used in masala chai , a spiced tea beverage. The spice mixture, called karha in India and Pakistan, is typically based on ginger and green cardamom , and may add allspice , black pepper , cinnamon , clove , star anise , fennel seeds , and nutmeg .
