Sesame balls, called zhīma qiú or jian dui, are an East Asian dessert, popular as part of Chinese dim sum but also enjoyed as a bakery treat or with home meals. They are made with glutinous rice mixed with sesame seeds, filled with sweetened red bean, black sesame, or lotus root paste and deep fried.
