Navarran cuisine is strongly influenced by Basque cuisine, and also makes use of the rich produce and livestock produced in the region. Pintxo are a common dish, topped with chistorra sausage, Lizarra sardines, prawns, cheese or olives. The white asparagus (espárragos blancos) of the region is well-regarded. Navarran beef and lamb are also prized. Trucha a la navarra (Navarran trout) and ajoarriero are two local specialties.
The Navarran wine regions are Baja Montana, Ribera Alta, Ribera Baja, Tierra Estella and Valdizarbe. Local wineries grow French varietals, as well as Tempranillo, Garnacha, Graciano and Mazuelo. White varietals include Chardonnay, Viura, Moscatel de Grano Menudo and Malvasía.
