Garnachas are a Mexican and Central American dish, often served as a snack or street food, of fried thick corn tortillas, topped with seasoned meats, refried beans, cabbage, and cheese.
Numerous regional variants exist, with different tortilla thicknesses, meat choices, and topping specialties. In Belize, the dish is called salbutes and is usually topped with stewed chicken.
