Mizu yokan (水ようかん) is a variety of the Japanese wagashi sweet, yokan. Mizu means water, and mizu yokan contains more water than other varieties of yokan. It is popularly served chilled as refreshing summer treat.
The most common mizu yokan flavor is red bean (adzuki), but chestnut (kuri), sweet potato imo, and matcha flavors are also made.
