Mađarica (Croatian, "Hungarian lady"), is a layered slice cake that is popular in Croatia. It is made with thin sheets of shortcrust pastry, layered with chocolate custard or pastry cream, and topped with chocolate or chocolate ganache. The final product is chilled and then sliced into squares to make elegant individual servings.
