Kamameshi is a Japanese dish of rice cooked in a metal kettle with bits of meat, vegetable, and seafood, seasoned with shoyu and mirin. Traditionally a communal dish, with the rice cooked in a large kama pot, it is now available in restaurants with individual pots cooked to order.
