Casatièllo is an Easter bread from Naples, Italy, made with a lard-enriched dough and a savory filling of salami and cheese. Before baking, six whole unshelled eggs are pressed into the dough, and optionally "caged" with strips of dough in a cross, symbolizing the crucifixion.
