Bingsu, sometimes written as bingsoo, is a Korean shaved ice dessert with sweet toppings that may include chopped fruit, condensed milk, fruit syrup, and red beans.
The most common variety is pat-bingsu (팥빙수), or red bean shaved ice.
Natural ice was used for bingsu in the past, but now sweetened ice mixed with fruit, bean, or dairy flavors is common.
