Aboukir cake is a French dessert made with sponge cake baked in a Charlotte mold, divided and layered with chestnut cream, iced with coffee-flavored fondant, and garnished with pistachios.
A frozen version of the cake is called Aboukir bombe.

Origins are unclear but a connection to the Egyptian town of Abu Qir is strongly implied.
