Wild leek (Allium ampeloprasum), also called broadleaf wild leek, is a member of the Allium genus native to southern Europe and southwest Asia. It has been cultivated into five vegetables: the leek, elephant garlic, pearl onion, kurrat, and Persian leek (also called leek chive).
