Submarine roll

A Submarine roll (also sub roll) is a long bread roll intended to be used to prepare submarine sandwiches. It is closely related to a hoagie roll and, in some regions, may be identical to it. Submarine rolls tend to be made of fairly soft bread with a tender crust.
