Rice flake, called pawa, pauwa, poha (plural pohe), phov, avalakki, aval, atukulu, chira and paunva in various Indian languages, is a parboiled rice product which has been beaten flat into thin flaky grains. It rehydrates quickly in any liquid and can be eaten raw or quickly cooked.
