Mandarin sauce

Mandarin sauce is a Chinese-American term for any of a variety of Chinese-inspired sauces. The "Mandarin" of the title is a generic Chinese term, rather than a reference to mandarin oranges ; some recipes are based on hoisin or soy sauce flavor profiles.
