Kapustnica is an eastern European sauerkraut soup. It is typically made with with drained and chopped sauerkraut, cooked in water with chopped pork, pieces of kielbasa, diced potatoes and carrots and a bit of salt until the meat is tender. It may be garnished with sour cream or dill.
