Hulless barley, also called "naked" barley, or hadakamugi in Japan (Hordeum vulgare L. ssp. vulgare) is a type of barley with an easy-to-remove hull (it is not, as the name suggests truly "hulless"). It was traditionally grown in eastern Asia, with a range from India to Japan, and is still the most common type of barley grown in Nepal and Tibet.
