DeKuyper Royal Distillers is a privately held Dutch company that produces numerous distilled spirits and liqueur.
It was established in 1695 in the Netherlands, began as a manufacturer of barrels and casks for transporting spirits and beer. By 1752, the company operated a distillery in Schiedam, a historic center of jenever (Dutch gin) production. In 1911, DeKuyper opened a new distillery where it initiated the production of liqueurs, gradually diversifying its offerings to include a wide variety of flavors.
The mid-20th century saw a marked shift as liqueurs became the primary focus, particularly for use in cocktails, aligning with changing consumer preferences and supporting robust export growth to North America and Europe. In the United States, DeKuyper is known for products such as Triple Sec and flavored schnapps.
