Cudweed (Pseudognaphalium affine, also regionally Helichrysum luteoalbum), called gogyō or hahakogusa in Japan, and shǔqúcǎo in China, is a widely distributed flowering plant. It is used in China to make chhau-a-koe (rice-flour pastry) for the Qingming Festival , and is one of the haru no nanakusa ("seven herbs of Spring") in Japan.
