Cordial Médoc is a sweet French liqueur with Seville orange peel, cacao, vanilla, violet, and prune notes. It is still produced by G. A. Jourde in Bordeaux, France, as it has been since 1878. It is also a well-known brand from advertising posters of the 1930s, which are desired by collectors.
It is referenced in Charles Baker's Gentleman's Companion, a popular cocktail book of 1939, and was a familiar enough product in 1903 to be referenced in official U.S. export records, but it is now almost unknown.
