Choucroute de Navets is a turnip-based sauerkraut from the Alsace region of France. It is known locally as Süra Rüawa ("sour turnips"). It is made by slicing turnips into long spears which are pickled with salt, bay, and juniper, and then cooked and served with pork, white wine, onions and garlic. It is often served with schifela or as part of a choucroute garnie.
