Chantilly is a term in French cooking, usually used to refer to whipped cream, either in its natural form or lightly sweetened. Crème Chantilly is effectively a synonym for whipped cream. The term Chantilly is also sometimes used to refer to the addition of whipped cream to a sauce or dish, as in Mousseline sauce.
