Bukhari pilau is an Afghan pilaf-style rice pot, now associated with Saudi Arabia, made with carrots and raisins, and often chicken, tomatoes, and onions, which are slowly cooked together into a flavorful dish. It is named after Bukhara, a city in modern Uzbekistan, which once lay on the Silk Road.
