Zebu are a subspecies of cattle (Bos indicus) that is common to Asia and Africa. They differ from the taurine cattle common elsewhere by a fatty hump on their shoulders, a large dewlap, and occasionally drooping ears. They are well adapted to withstanding high temperatures.
