Yomogi (Artemisia princeps), called ssuk in Korean, also Japanese mugwort, Korean mugwort, and Korean wormwood, is an herb in the sunflower family, native to East Asia.
It is used in Japan to flavor mochi, as kusa mochi and yomogi mochi, and dumplings, as kusa dango.
In Korea, ssuk is fresh in savory dishes including jeon, ssuk kimchi, ssukguk, or as a powdered dried herb in tteok rice cakes or as an addition to cakes, tea, and lattes.
