The Thompson Seedless grape is a grape cultivar, also called a sultana in some markets, also called Lady de Coverly, or oval-fruited Kismish. It is extensively planted, and is used as a table grape, for raisins, and for wine-making.
When dried, the grape is called a golden raisin in most American markets, and a "sultana" in the United Kingdom and most Commonwealth countries.
Wine made from the Thompson Seedless cultivar is termed "chablis" wine in the United States, but it is not a true Chablis wine. In the EU, Chablis wine must be made from Chardonnay grapes in the Yonne départment of France.
