Suédoise is a mid-20th century dessert made by arranging cooked fruits in an aspic mold and then filling it with fruit or liqueur-flavored jelly. While this form of dessert is still fairly common, the name has nearly disappeared.
Alternatively, the name can mean simply "in the Swedish style".

Name origins

Suédoise is French for "Swedish". It is not clear why this dish would have that name.
