Sān xuě tāng, or three snow soup, is a Chinese sweet soup, typically made with three "snow" ingredients:
  • Yín'ěr (银耳): White fungus or snow fungus.
  • Xuě lí (雪梨): Yali pear, called "snow pear", known for its hydrating and cooling properties.
  • Xuě èr (雪蛤): Snow frog fat, also called snow frog oil (a delicacy believed to have nourishing and anti-aging properties). Sometimes, instead of snow frog, another "snow" ingredient might be used.
Along with these three main ingredients, rock sugar is commonly added to sweeten the soup.
