Rab cake (Croatian, Rabska torta) is a traditional Croatian cake, originally from the Adriatic island of Rab. It is made with marzipan flavored with Maraschino liqueur and grated citrus fruit, which is layered onto a thin spiral-shaped layer of dough.
It is an intricate and difficult cake to prepare, and is associated with weddings and special occasions.
