A popsicle, or ice pop, also called an ice lolly in the United Kingdom, is a frozen dessert made by freezing fruit juice, sherbet, sorbet, or ice cream in a mold with a wooden stick inserted into it to act as a handle. They are a popular hot-season treat, especially popular with children.
In Mexico, a similar treat is called paletas, while in India, a dense, spice-infused treat called kulfi is sometimes served on a stick.
