The Orin, Ohrin, or Ourin is an apple variety, and one of the most popular apple varieties in Japan. It was developed in Japan by Tadanosuke Otusk in 1948, as a cross-pollination of the Golden Delicious and the [Indo (apple)|Indo]; one of the other seedlings from this crossing became the Mutsu, or Crispin, apple. In good growing conditions, the Orin is a honey-sweet, very low-acid dessert apple.
