Nasturtium (Tropaeolum majus) is a plant with edible flowers. The leaves are also edible and are used in salads.
In English recipes as early as the 17th century, nasturtium blossoms were used in a variety of savory dishes. They were stuffed with tuna, capers, gherkins, chervil, parseley and mayonnaise, and their buds and seeds were pickled and used as seasonings like capers.
