Maple water is a marketing term for maple sap, the nutrient-carrying liquid found in maple trees. It contains trace amounts of sugar and nutrients, including many electrolytes, which are normally responsible for the health and nutrition of the tree.
Forty gallons of maple sap are typically boiled down to produce one gallon of maple syrup.
