Lowfat milk is a milk marketing term used to describe milk from which some of the naturally occurring milk fat has been removed. In the United States, "low fat milk" is defined to be 1% milk fat by weight; in other English-speaking countries, "low fat" does not have an official definition. Milk, as produced by dairy cows, normally has approximately 3.25% milk fat by weight.
