Jelly palm fruit, also called butía, is the small yellow or orange fruit of the pindo palm tree (Butia capitata). Each fruit is small, about one inch in diameter, but the tree will frequently bear large clusters of fruits. The fruits are aromatic and have a dense, pectin-rich flesh.
