Half and half is a term used to refer to beverages and foods that are made of an equal parts mixture of two substances. In the United States and Canada, it always refers to a half milk and half cream dairy product, which is called light cream elsewhere in the English-speaking world.

In French-speaking Switzerland, a moitiƩ-moitiƩ is a mixture of equal amounts of coffee and milk, while in German-speaking Switzerland, a halb halb is a beverage of half apple and half orange juice. In Ireland, a "half and half" is the beer cocktail that elsewhere is called a Black and Tan. In the Netherlands, a dish of ground meat wrapped in bacon called slavink is also called "half and half."
