Grain alcohol is another term for ethanol, especially when it is derived through fermentation and distillation of corn, wheat, barley, or rye. It is a clear, colorless, and odorless liquid, typically at least 95% alcohol by volume.
See also the closely related term neutral grain spirit, which is a legally regulated term in the United States.
