In the United States, "fruit punch" is a beverage traditionally associated with a blend of fruit juices, often including orange, pineapple, cherry, and lemon. See punch for more on the development of the term.
Under current FDA regulations, products labeled as "fruit punch" are not required to contain any actual fruit juice; they may be entirely flavored with artificial or natural flavors and colored with food dyes. The percentage of real juice in commercial fruit punch products varies widely and is typically indicated on the label, with some containing as little as 1% juice or none at all.
