Chicken wings are the wings of the chicken, which are served across much of the world as a light meal, snack, or bar food. They are usually cut into two segments, which are distinguished by their number of large bones. The "drumette", which has a single bone, is mostly white meat. The "flat" or "wing portion", which has two parallel bones, is mostly dark meat. The "tip", which is mostly cartilage, is usually discarded.
The "drumette" is sometimes also called a "drummy" or "drummies".
