Château du Cleray a French wine château located in Valley, in the Loire-Atlantique department of western France. The estate was acquired in 1824 by Charles Marie Richard, and the château itself was built before 1840 by his grandson, Charles-Marie Richard de La Vergne.
The château is situated in the heart of the Muscadet Sèvre-et-Maine wine region, and the property has been associated with wine production for many years. Domaine du Cleray, located on the château’s grounds, is one of the oldest estates in the region, known for producing Muscadet wines, particularly from the Melon de Bourgogne grape variety.
