Amazon tree-grape (Pourouma cecropiifolia) is the fruit of an evergreen tree native to the western Amazon basin. It grows oval grape-like fruit which have a rough skin, a wintergreen odor, and a juicy, sweet flesh. It spoils rapidly and does not have a commercial crop.
Note that in Peru the fruit is sometime called uvilla; this is not to be confused with Cape gooseberry (Physalis peruviana) which also goes by that name.
